The King’s Chorus includes singers at all skill levels, welcoming students, faculty, staff and community members into its choir.
Membership is by individual voice-placement meeting, scheduled at the beginning of each semester in September and January of each year. These brief meetings are very casual, and no previous training or experience is required.
Membership Fees (2024/25 Season, beginning September 2024)
Fees are due by the third rehearsal of each semester (Sep 18, 2024 and Jan 22, 2025)
Students registered full- or part-time in any Nova Scotia higher education institution: $20 per semester.
(Bursaries are available for students in financial need.)
Faculty, staff, and alumni of the University of King’s College, and Dalhousie University: $80 for the 2024/25 academic year ($40 per semester).
Community: $120 for the 2024/25 academic year ($60 per semester).
Community Senior: $80 for the 2024/25 academic year ($40 per semester).
Music scores are provided on loan at no additional cost.

Rehearsals take place on Wednesdays, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the King’s Chapel.
As the concert date approaches, there are often sectional rehearsals (for Soprano, Alto, Tenor, or Bass alone)
either from 6.30pm or from 9pm to 9.30pm.
